Description
This Ladybug Scrapbook Album features a handmade Ladybug. Handcarving formed the ladybug through use of razor blades. After carving, red leather wrapped around the sculpture. In addition, smooth black leather covers the ladybug head as well as dots on the wings.
Copper wire forms the legs as well as accent swirls on the wing dots. Likewise, copper also edges the deep curve of the front cover.
An initial B highlights a raised red leather panel, capped with patina copper.
Soft suede beige leather covers half of the front and back covers. Black leather wraps around the spine over the binding cords.
Handmade textured red paper lines the inner covers as endsheets in the Ladybug Scrapbook Album.
Red and black threads wrap around leather cords to form headbands, stitched directly into the spine ends.
Two layers of 55 lb tensile strength fabric reinforce the hinges, both under the leather and under the coversheets. Consequently, this adds extra strength and durability.
In addition, archival permanently flexible glue coats the spine for heirloom quality. Therefore, the spine remains pliable and will not crack over time.
