Heart and Key Scrapbook

Description

This Heart and Key Scrapbook features a carved red suede heart as an engagement book. The convex heart rounds upwards.  Therefore, a three-dimensional pillow effect is created on this screwpost book.

Smooth burgundy leather covers individual numbers.  The numbers 365 are to illustrate 365 Days of Love.  These numbers affix firmly to the heart with decorative copper wire on top of the rounded convex heart.

As a contrast, black leather lines the base inside the keyhole for depth.  Brushed aluminum frames the heart.  In addition, copper wire borders both the inner and outer edges of the frame.

I have handcarved names and then embossed them under beige leather.  After that, brushed aluminum caps the lettering platforms to additionally customize the scrapbook. 

Black leather covers the spine, including three faux binding cords.  An antique Skeleton Key is attached to a leather page marker.

Handmade paper lines the inner covers as endsheets.  A layer of 55 pound tensile strength fabric reinforces the hinges to ensure strength and heirloom quality.  In addition, archival permanently flexible glue safeguards the book for a lifetime of durability.

Three screwposts bind the Heart and Key Scrapbook together.  As a result, one may easily add or change pages.  The screwposts hide inside the binding so that they are only visible when the covers are opened.
