Description

Each Piano Keys Journal includes genuine Ebony and Ivory antique keys from an old vintage piano.  Both glue and many screws hold the piano keys very firmly onto the cover boards for optimum durability.

Names personalize each handbound leather book.  For instance, carved and embossed under purple leather is “Barb”.  Similarly, “Deb” decorates the gold leather book.  Sheet music symbol shapes form some of the lettering.  In specific, the flat symbol as well as music notes.

Copper piano strings accent the cover design.  I cut some of the thickest bass piano strings to proper lengths because of the tactile nature of these strings.

Multicolored handsewn acid-free pages fill the journals.  Handmade papers line the inner covers as endsheets.

Handstiched headbands protect the spine ends.  I wrap leather cords with thread colors to compliment the color scheme.  For example, Barb’s book showcases blue and purple headbands to coordinate with the leather.

A double layer of 55 lb tensile strength fabric reinforces the cover hinges thereby  ensuring heirloom quality and durability. $995 each.
