Description
This red door journal has fine papers bound into it including random sheets of 100% cotton rag paper which have been vividly printed with serigraph prints. Also, white acid-free sheets form many blank usable pages.
Antique clear glass with texture and streaks mounts into the cover, inset as a window.
Suede red leather embosses around the hand carved door panels. The interior of the cover includes a smooth gold deerskin trim around the window to frame the glass.
Copper sheet metal and curved wire create the door handle. The copper handle has been hand hammered to curve and shape it. Furthermore, it serves as a handle to open the cover of the book.
A keyhole mounts above the stylized copper doorplate. In addition, silver beads accent the design on the red door journal.
Green handmade paper with leaf segments lines the inner covers as endsheets. The textured glass door window distorts the view of the leaf coversheets a bit for a mysterious effect.
Handstitched headbands protect the spine ends with red and gold threads to compliment the color scheme. They are sew directly into the spine ends.
