Description
The USS ILLINOIS Submarine Scrapbook features the Virginia-class nuclear powered attack submarine in the United States Navy. The USS Illinois (SSN-786) photo album was a special request.
The Navy theme includes a handcarved and black leather wrapped USS Illinois Submarine. “Captain Jess Porter” is also handcarved and embossed under blue leather. Two Navy coins inset within raised frames in the corners.
As a screwpost style of book, it may be refilled. In addition it can expand as needed. Hinges include 55 pound tensile strength fabric hidden under the leather for extra strength.
Small details on the USS ILLINOIS Submarine Scrapbook are made from wire and silver beads. Additionally, a US flag pin tops the submarine.
Naval maps of New London Harbor line the inner covers as endsheets edged by metallic gold accented handmade paper.
