Embossed Name Baby Book

Description

This Embossed Name Baby Book features the name Avery on the cover.  First, the baby name is drawn, cut, and handcarved.  Next, green suede leather wraps tightly around it.  Therefore, the lettering sculpture becomes embossed under the leather resulting in a highly textural cover design.

Two green Peridot Swarovski Crystals from Austria highlight the baby’s name.  In specific, symbolizing her August birthday with the peridot birthstone.

A carved vine is embossed under the smooth brown leather by the spine.

Handmade purple paper lines the inner covers as endsheets. Brown and green threads wrap around leather cords to form headbands, stitched directly into the spine ends.

Two layers of 55 lb tensile strength fabric reinforce the hinges, both under the leather and under the coversheets.  As a result, this ensures heirloom strength and quality of the binding.  In addition, archival permanently flexible glue coats the spine so it will never crack. 

Multi-colored acid-free pages fill the the Embossed Name Baby Book, handsewn around three binding cords. Each album page has been handripped to create a curved deckled edge. Curved brushed aluminum wire accents the design between the brown and green leathers.
