Initial and Cross Wedding Album

Description

This Initial and Cross Wedding Album features personalized details.  For instance, the initial is handcarved in a specific font.  Next, ivory leather wraps over it for a sharp embossed finish.  Then copper capped the top of it. 

In addition, a small silver cross wired onto the cover was of importance.

The spine of the Initial and Cross Wedding Album features metallic gold leather.  Semi-metallic silver leather accents the raised decorative curve near the spine.

Handstiched headbands protect the spine ends.  I wrap leather cords with thread colors to compliment the color scheme.  They are directly sewn onto the binding edges.  In this case, silver and gold thread.

A double layer of 55 pound tensile strength fabric reinforces the hinges to ensure strength and heirloom quality.  In addition, archival permanently flexible glue safeguards the book for a lifetime of durability.

I handripped each page one at a time to create a curved descending deckled edge. Metallic gold handmade papers line the inner covers as endsheets.  They showcase a thin layer of handmade rainpaper over the surface for a dramatic and elegant appearance.
