This Memorial Flag Scrapbook Album contains memorabilia of this fallen soldier’s honored life. Most importantly, his daughter will receive the personalized leather scrapbook as a family heirloom.
Blue deerskin embosses over a multilayered handcarved American flag. Fifty metal stars are wired onto the flag. The USA flag includes carved and sloped stripes. Therefore, this adds contrast and texture to the book cover design.
The Soldier’s name rises from the surface of the flag, embossing it a half inch at a time under smooth blue leather. The extra thick covers support the size of the memorial book and the future weight of the album when full. In addition, the thickness accommodates the glass protecting the inset photograph.
Red paper with a fabric texture to mimic flag material lines the inner covers as endsheets. Interiors pages include a mix of red, white, and blue papers, all acid-free. They are sewn around three binding cords, visible along the spine. Red and blue threads wrap around leather cords to form headbands, stitched directly into the spine ends.
A poem features on the first page of this leather scrapbook album. Randomly throughout the scrapbook, laminated newspaper articles have been bound directly into the spine while the pages were being sewn together. A curved red deerskin stripe accents the back cover of the memorial flag scrapbook album.
