Description

This custom MLB Angels Baseball Scrapbook includes many leather embossed details to personalize the leather bound book.

COVER FEATURES:

Los Angeles Angels Logo

A leather wrapped LA Angels logo features dominant on the front cover, wrapped in red leather.  In specific, I hand carved the Angels emblem to it is highly 3-D and sloped, and then wired it onto the cover after wrapping it in leather.  Leather with a slight gold metallic tinge wraps around the halo.  Additionally, silver wire rims the halo and the edge of the baseball field.

MLB Emblem

The leather bound baseball book incorporates the Major League Baseball emblem on the back cover.  Because the back cover needs to be flat to rest on a table, the MLB logo is inset into the thick coverboard.  Therefore, three dimensional levels add still add depth to the back cover, but inset rather than raised. 

Also, copper wire rims the inner lip of the logo.  Furthermore, small copper wires form the stitching on the miniature white leather baseball.  The white leather parts are raised above the red and blue background.  Meanwhile, a black leather border slopes to create the home plate edging. 

Moreno Lettering

Moreno lettering highlights the front cover.  Specifically, to personalize the album for Arte Moreno, owner of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.  Red suede leather wraps around each individual letter. Subsequently, each letter is affixed to the cover with hidden wires for firm permanent attachment.

Baseball Stitching

Red leather lacing mimics baseball stitching on both covers. To clarify, I drilled holes completely through the covers.  Next, I laced the red leather to create the baseball stitching to frame the white panels.

Baseball and Bat Bookmark

Red leather pagemarker displays a mini baseball and a wooden bat attached to the end.  “Moreno” lettering personalizes the bat via branding.  As a result, Moreno is burnt into the surface. 

INTERNAL DETAILS:

Pages

Acid-free paper comprises the pages of the scrapbook.  This includes red, white, and blue mixed sheets.  Blue handmade paper lines the inner covers as endsheets.

Headbands

Handstitched headbands protect the spine edges.  They are comprised of leather cords wrapped with red and blue threads and sewn directly into the spine ends. 

Heirloom Quality

A double layer of 55 pound tensile strength fabric reinforces the hinges to ensure strength and heirloom quality.  In addition, and most importantly, archival permanently flexible glue safeguards the book for a lifetime of durability.  Specifically, this ensures that the binding will never crack over time.
