This refillable Pilot Log Book for Airplane serves as an aviation flight journal. It is leather covered both inside and out. Above all, it is actual bomber jacket leather used on the book. As a result, one of the jacket seams became a decorative feature near the spine.
The log book binds together with brass screwposts. Therefore, the pages may be changed or added over time while new flight log pages are needed in the airplane.
A soft leather flap covers the spine as it wraps around the pages between the screwposts. Consequently, this flap protects the pages at the spine as well as provides a finished edge.
Six brass rivets pierce the cover, also visible on the inside of the cover. An antique finish ages the brass rivets for a classic look.
Two layers of 55 lb tensile strength fabric reinforce the hinges for heirloom quality.
The Pilot Log Book for Airplane is fully leather covered. Therefore, suede brown leather covers the inside as endsheets. Also, a suede leather pocket holds a few sheets of paper inside the back cover.
