This School Emblem Retirement Book features bright purple and yellow leathers to represent the school colors. The custom leather scrapbook is personalized for a school leader.
The Catholic School Emblem includes a purple leather wrapped logo. Copper wire accents the 4 ends of the logo for two reasons. Firstly, they add a decorative element to the school logo. Secondly, they also serve to hold the purple school emblem edges tightly onto the cover.
In the center of the logo, Cretin-Derham Hall High School initials rise from the surface and yellow leather embosses over them. In addition, copper caps the “CD” initials. A slight patina finish coats the copper through the use of lemon juice, salt, and vinegar.
Beneath the custom school emblem the recipients initials are showcased. I handcarved the lettering in a specific Celtic font and embossed them under smooth yellow leather.
The headbands, seen on the spine ends, contain leather cords wrapped with yellow and purple threads to protect the spine edges. I sew them directly in to the spine ends. 55 lb tensile strength fabric reinforces the hinges to ensure heirloom quality and durability.
Handmade purple paper lines the interior of the School Emblem Retirement Book. Therefore, it matches the Catholic School Emblem and school colors.
