Description
This Twig Journal with Pen Holder and Alligator is a leatherbound mostly blank book filled with archival cotton rag paper.
An old deteriorating alligator handbag finds a new purpose on this book cover. In specific, antique alligator leather forms a background for cover art. The rich color and alluring texture of the aged alligator bag leather makes for a lovely backdrop behind an array of twigs.
Five beads of salmon colored coral adorn the cover design, seen among the twigs. A slice of 3/8″ x 1/2″ wood lines the edge between the green suede frame and the black leather of the spine. Is a result, this adds additional texture and also adds to the wood theme.
A included cardboard tube pen slides into two leather riveted loops on the edge of the back cover. A mechanical pencil could certainly be inserted instead.
Printed rag paper features inside this leather handbound journal. Abstract segments of prints fill random corners of the pages, allowing plenty of blank area for writing.
Highly textured handmade paper lines the inner covers of the leather journal as endsheets.
Headbands are handstitched consisting of brown and green threads wrapped around a leather cord and sewn directly into the spine ends. A built-in suede green leather bookmark attaches to the spine of the Twig Journal with Pen Holder and Alligator.
