Description
This Washington University Bears Book features the Wash U Bears Basketball logo. The basketball photo album includes the college basktball player’s name Troy Ruths. Significantly, the Troy Ruth lettering arches across the cover on a raised name panel and contains an orange leather basketball as the O. In addition, his jersey #50 caps the miniature basketball.
The Washington University logo is intricately handcarved. Black, red, green and white leathers wrap various components of the Wash U emblem. Also, red leather borders the Troy Ruths name banner.
Silver wire accents the curve of the green deerskin at the spine of the sports scrapbook.
Acid-free 80 lb paper in white, green and red fill the book, sewn around three leather cords.
Since durability is important, two layers of 55 lb tensile strength tear resistant binding fabric double lines the hinges of the coverboards. As a result, this helps ensure heirloom quality and strength.
The headbands are handstitched around leather cords, wrapped with green and red threads.
Red handmade paper lines the inner covers as endsheets, and to match the school color scheme. All glue used on the Washington University Bears Book is archival and permanently flexible.
