This Gothic Stained Glass Window Bible features a very specific window design. In specific, a photograph of certain window became the template when designing this Bible cover.
Five different types of stained glass form the stained glass window. Six individual pieces have been soldered together. Next, the window was inset within the black leather Bible cover.
Many layers form the framework around the window. This completes the full window design. In addition, it allows room to inset the thick stained glass window into the cover boards.
A double layer of 55 pound tensile strength fabric reinforces the hinges to ensure strength and heirloom quality. In addition, archival permanently flexible glue safeguards the book for a lifetime of durability.
Five raised faux binding cords enhance the spine.
Handstiched headbands protect the spine ends of the Gothic Stained Glass Window Bible. I wrap leather cords with thread colors to compliment the color scheme. They are directly sewn onto the binding edges with colorful threads.
In the same vein, color compliments the Bible by means of the coversheets. Green handmade paper lines the interior of the front and back cover. Also, a built-in green leather bookmark is attached, plus two ribbon page markers.
