This highly customized leather Heart Bible with Dragonfly has a double thick cover. Therefore, this allows for several elements to be inset into the surface.
In specific, Abalone Hearts appear to hang from copper wires, tied by a silver clip. Also, a sterling silver Dragonfly and sterling silver Butterfly inset with Abalone, and a Mother-of-Pearl heart.
This mother of pearl heart insets at the center of the cross. Raised framing protects the copper cross for abundant use.
The Bible verse of 1 John 4:4 features on the cover, embossed under the black leather.
Five faux binding cords enhance the spine for added texture and a classic look.
Handstitched headbands protect the spine ends. In other words, I wrap leather cords on each spine edge with thread colors to compliment the color scheme and sew them directly into the binding.
A coin is inset within the inner cover, set deep in the coverboards so it is flush. Moss green handmade paper lines the interior of the Heart Bible with Dragonfly as endsheets.
A double layer of 55 pound tensile strength fabric reinforces the hinges for added durability and heirloom quality.
Many additional pages, including text and photographs, were formatted, printed, trimmed, and sewn into the binding on both the front and back of the Bible.
