This Koi Fish Yin Yang Scrapbook features a Stained Glass Yin-Yang on this very large leather album.
The handcarved Koi Fish consist of ten layers of binders board, patiently carved with razor blades. White deerskin and orange lambskin wrap around the Koi. In addition, copper wire accents the book cover.
Blue deerskin covers the leatherbound book. Also, turquoise and deep purple deerskin along with teal lambskin frame the cover design.
The stained glass Yin-Yang window features soldered leading around clear and smoked textured glass. The interior of the window is framed with teal lambskin. Copper wire swirls over multiple levels of individually wrapped leather waves.
Thick acid-free white and dark blue pages fill the book, handsewn around five binding cords seen under the black spine leather. Each page has been handripped to create a curved descending deckled edge. A copper coiled wire pagemarker includes a cowrie shell and coral bead.
Three silver beads accent the front cover on the peak of each wave, in addition to one on the rear cover edge. The back cover features two raised panels with carved swirls and three inset copper wires. Black, teal, and purple leathers showcase the back cover.
Handmade orange banana leaf paper lines the inner covers as endsheets, viewed through the stained glass Yin-Yang window. Orange and blue threads wrap around leather cords to form headbands, stitched directly into the spine ends.
Two layers of 55 pound tensile strength fabric reinforce the hinges of the Koi Fish Yin Yang Scrapbook to ensure heirloom quality and durability.
