The Purple Pointed Cross Bible features brand new cover boards. Specifically, I removed the original covers from the Bible and then built new ones from scratch.
Therefore, a double layer of 55 pound tensile strength fabric now reinforces the hinges to ensure strength and heirloom quality. In addition, and most importantly, archival permanently flexible glue safeguards the book for a lifetime of durability. Specifically, this ensures that the binding will never crack like some old books do with inferior glue.
Smooth soft purple leather wraps tightly around a name applied to the bottom of the cover. Likewise, a cross raised from the surface, is embossed under the leather.
Five faux binding cords enhance the spine of the Purple Pointed Cross Bible, thereby adding a classic look.
Handstiched headbands protect the spine ends. In other words, I wrap leather cords on each spine end with thread colors to compliment the color scheme. In this instance, purple and gold threads sew directly into the spine ends.
Purple handmade paper lines the interior of the Bible covers for a smooth finish as endsheets.
