As a highly symbolic custom order, this personalized Zen Circle Journal features embossed lettering “To Think is to Create”. Additionally, “I AM” is raised from the surface, linking into the triangle border. This photo shows one book from a matching set of four.
The symbolism includes: First, the White Rhino as a spiritual reference. Second, the Eagle signifies a need to extend one’s conscious awareness. Third, Aladdin’s Lamp symbolizes the unconscious.
Each of the three elements is handcarved. Leather fully wraps around both the rhino and bald eagle. Then hidden wires attach the embossed sculptures to the cover.
Handhammered and shaped brass covers Aladdin’s lamp for a curved custom fit. Also it includes copper wire for a handle. Plus a silver bead tops the lid.
A copper lined green leather triangle frames a blue leather wrapped M. The M also affixes to the cover with hidden wires for very firm attachment.
A carved and embossed Zen Circle rotates above open palms of hands. In addition, the Zen Circle links the white rhino, bald eagle, and Aladdin’s lamp together.
Pages are handsewn around the four cords seen along the spine. Upon request the binding cords which extend onto the back cover fully inset resulting in a perfectly flat back cover.
The Zen Circle Journal includes handstitched headbands and two layers of 55 lb tensile strength fabric to reinforce the hinges.
Handmade paper lines the inner cover as endsheets. A pocket holds a few sheets of paper inside the back cover.
